She extends grace to those she had previously written off, realizing that she may have misjudged or misunderstood them before. She recognizes the importance of friendship. She begins putting the needs of others before her own. (And the adults in her life are quick to correct and discipline her when necessary.)Īnd as Birdy begins to figure out who she is and how she wants to live, she slowly grows in maturity and wisdom. Like many teenagers her age, she quickly learns there are consequences for her actions. And she’s often cruel to the people who love her most. She hurts more than one friend in her efforts to make her own dreams come true. She can be selfish, spoiled and inconsiderate at times. ![]() And there are some growing pains that go along with that. ![]()
